Privacy policy

Gender Sexuality Info, LLC is a small studio in Colorado that makes games and apps. This page covers all of them, plus this website. We don’t sell data or show ads, and we don’t track you across other apps or websites.

Apps and games you download

This covers anything you install from the Mac App Store or itch.io. You don’t need an account, and there are no ads. These apps don’t collect anything about you and don’t send anything over the internet, so there are no crash reports and no usage stats.

To do their job, some apps check things on your device while they run, like whether an app is using your microphone or camera, or where windows are on screen. That stays on your device and is never saved or sent.

If an app crashes, macOS may offer to send a report to Apple. For apps from the Mac App Store, if you’ve chosen to share crash data with app developers in your Mac’s settings, Apple passes crash logs on to us. That’s Apple’s setting, under Apple’s privacy policy.

Your saves and settings stay on your device. Deleting the app and its data removes them.

Games you play in your browser

Our browser games are on itch.io. Some of them keep anonymous play stats so we can find bugs and see where people get stuck. When something happens in the game, like opening a screen, making a choice, or reaching an ending, the game sends a small record to a private Google Sheet through Google Apps Script.

A record can include what happened and when, a random play code the game saves in your browser (so we can tell one play-through from another), your general device type and browser family, the game’s settings, and the hour of the day. It never includes your name, anything you type, your IP address, your location, or cookies. Google handles each request under its own privacy policy. We keep these records while we’re still working on a game.

Each game’s itch.io page lists what that game records. These games don’t have an off switch yet. We’re adding one as each game gets updated. Until then, you can block the script with a content blocker, and the game plays exactly the same.

Your progress and settings in these games are saved in your browser. Clearing your browser data removes them.

This website

This website has no cookies, analytics, or forms, and we don’t collect anything from you through it. It’s hosted by Porkbun, under Porkbun’s own privacy policy.

Emails you send us

We use Google Workspace for email, so your message and email address are stored there. We use them only to reply to you, and we’ll delete your emails if you ask.

Roadmap and feature requests

Our roadmap at roadmap.gendersexuality.info runs on Featurebase and isn’t part of this website. You can read it, suggest ideas, and vote without an account. Commenting needs a free Featurebase account.

Ideas and comments you post there are public, and so are vote counts. Featurebase handles what you share, plus any technical data it collects when you visit, under its own privacy policy.

Discord and social media

If you join our Discord server or follow us on social media, those services handle what you share there under their own privacy policies. Anything posted in a public space can be seen by other people.

Game trailers on this site are YouTube videos. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. Once you do, YouTube handles the video under Google’s privacy policy.

Buying our games

When you buy something, itch.io or Apple handles the payment and your account under its own privacy policy. We never see your payment details. itch.io shows us totals like page views and downloads.

Kids

We don’t make games or apps for children. Some are fine for younger players and some aren’t, but none are designed for or aimed at kids under 13. We can’t control who plays, so parents and guardians decide what their kids use.

We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If a child has emailed us, a parent or guardian can ask us to delete that email.

Your choices

None of this data is tied to who you are, so we have no way to find, show, or delete any one person’s records. What you can control is whether it gets sent. Apps you download don’t send anything. In browser games, block the script with a content blocker. Clearing your browser data deletes the play code.

Legal requests

We’ll only hand over information to authorities if the law requires it.

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
