These camps are for youth 24 or under, are specific to students, and/or have a family component.


Kaylee’s Kamp Foundation | Scholarships for LGBTQ+ youth to attend inclusive summer camp programs while supporting parental and community education.

  • Brave Trails | Leadership summer camp for LGBTQ+ youth ages 12-18 and a family camp. Offers year-round programs.

  • Camp Born This Way | Missouri summer camp for LGBTQ+ youth, ages 14-18. They aim to provide a supportive environment for personal growth, empowerment, and peer connections.

  • Camp fYrefly | Fun, educational, social, and personal leadership retreat for queer and trans youth ages 14-24.

  • Camp Highlight | Camps for youth and family in Pennsylvania: Camp Highlight for children between the ages of 8-15 who have an LGBTQ parent; Highlight Leadership Academy for teens ages 16-18 who have an LGBTQ parent, and Highlight Family Camp for LGBTQ parents with their children up to age 18 for a family weekend of fun and community.

  • Camp Indigo | For trans and gender diverse youth ages 4-16 in Boulder, Colorado, and Oakland, California.

  • Camp It Up! | Summer and winter camps for LGBTQ+ family and allies in Quincy, California.

  • Camp Lightbulb | Camps for LGBTQ+ youth aged 14-18 in Provincetown, New York City, and Los Angeles. New Family Camp option in Provincetown as of April 2023.

  • Camp Lilac | Summer camp in Ohio for transgender and gender-diverse youth.

  • Camp OUTdoors | Trans & nonbinary youth retreat for ages 11-24 in Arizona. Counselors In Training (CIT) program for youth 20-24.

  • Camp QORDS (Queer Oriented Radical Days of Summer) | Ages 12-14 and 15-17 for queer youth or youth of queer parents, with a special focus on youth in the South.

  • Camp Ten Trees | Spring and summer residential camping programs for LGBTQ+ youth and youth of LGBTQ+ families.

  • Camp True Colors | Minnesota. Youth camps, a leadership program, and Family Camp True Colors for LGBTQ+ families. Two session types: LGBTQ+ youth or specifically for youth who are transgender and/or nonbinary, or otherwise gender-expansive.

  • Campus Pride Summer Leadership Academy + Advisor Academy | Camp for social justice and grassroots activism for LGBTQ+ and ally young adults at colleges and universities.

  • épanouie day camp | For transgender and gender nonbinary youth on the transfeminine spectrum, ages 10-12, in Los Angeles, California.

  • Harbor Camps | Summer camp, alumni weekends, family camp, and a counselor-in-training program for transgender and non-binary youth and their families.

  • kin·dom camp | A week-long summer camp for LGBTQIA+ youth 12-17 about affirmation, community, and celebration. It affirms all genders, sexualities, identities, abilities, and varieties of belief. Locations in Illinois, Nevada, Indiana, and Texas.

  • Keshet LGBTQ Family Camp | Summer weekend designed for queer-headed Jewish families to come together and celebrate who they are; all ages and families with no kids are welcome. Held near Yosemite National Park in California.

  • LGBT+ Tech Summer Camps | Designed and lead by LGBT+ youth. Four camps, one virtual and three in-person (San Francisco/Oakland, California; Austin, TX; New York City, New York).

  • LGBT Center of Raleigh: ASPYRE Youth Leadership Camp | Leadership Camp to empower young members of the LGBTQ community and their allies.

  • OBC’s Annual LGBTQ+ Youth Summer Camp | Free LGBTQ+ youth camp in Boulder, Colorado.

  • Outright Vermont: Camp Outright | LGBTQ+ youth and allies 14-17 and counselors-in-training ages 18-19.

  • Pride Camp, Pride Camp University, Pride Camp University Jr. | Three different camps for LGBTQ and allied youth; ages 8-10, 11-13, and 14-18.

  • Queer and Trans Youth + Allies (QTYA) | Sonoma County, California for ages 7-18 and 13-18. Two weeks of day camp sessions and one week of backpacking.

  • Queer Camp | Day camp in Fayetteville, Arkansas, for 2SLGBTQIA+ and allied youth ages 12-18 to let loose and have fun in an inclusive setting.

  • Rainbow Summer Camp | Two sessions; one for ages 10-12, another for ages 7-9 in Durham, North Carolina. Doing a pilot for 2023 and may return in 2024.

  • Rock Camp SLC | For girls, transgender, and gender-expansive youth from all backgrounds ages 8-17. During the week-long day camp, youth of all skill levels will learn to play an instrument, form a band, write a song, and perform their original composition for family and friends. There’s also a teen internship program.

  • Spirit Pride Project Spirituality Retreat | LGBTQ+ and children of LGBTQ+ families of all religious and spiritual (including non-spiritual and non-religious) backgrounds.

  • The Laurel Foundation Summer Camp | Transgender and gender diverse campers, ages 10-17.

  • The Naming Project Summer Camp | 14-18 year-olds who are of any sexual orientation or gender identity or expression “who are interested in discussing and understanding sexuality and gender in terms of their own spiritual journey.”

  • Trans Youth Equality Foundation Summer Youth Camp | Transgender and gender non-conforming youth.

  • Unicorn Day Camp | For transgender and gender nonbinary kids ages 6-10 in Pasadena, California.

  • We Rock Charlotte | Rock and film camps + additional programs in Charlotte, North Carolina, for girls and gender-diverse individuals. Also known as We Rock CLT.

International Camps

  • Camp Dragonfly | Summer camp in Canada for trans+ and gender-creative kids (ages 6–13). Includes a WinterFest.

  • Camp Eclipse | Leadership retreat for 2SLGBTQIA+ Youth and Allies in Canada.

  • Camp Rainbow Phoenix | Summer leadership camp for youth ages 12 to 17 in Canada.

  • Camp Seahorse, Camp Coyote | Camps offered in Canada are intentionally created for different ages and identities.

  • Camp Ten Oaks, Camp Lifting Leaves | Two Canadian camps. Camp Ten Oaks for children and youth ages 8-17 from 2SLGBTQ+ (two-spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer) identities, families, and communities. Camp Lifting Leaves is for youth from 2SLBGTQ+ identities, families, and communities who are at least 12 years old and have an active file with an Indigenous well-being or child welfare agency.

  • Machane Lev | One-week, Jewish overnight camp for children and youth who are LGBTQ or who come from LGBTQ+ families/communities in Canada.

  • Mosaic Camp | Summer Camp and Winter Retreat in Wales, United Kingdom.

  • Rainbow Camp | For 2SLGBTQ+ and allied youth, their siblings, and children in Queer families 12-17 and a Leaders-in-Training program for ages 17-18 in Canada.

 

Adults Only Camps
and Retreats

These camps are for LGBTQ+ adults. They can be population-specific by gender, religion/spirituality, and more.

  • ‘Camp’ Camp | Summer camp for LGBTQ adults.

  • A-Camp | Queer adult camp.

  • Black Lesbians United – BLU Retreat | Limited information on the website; sign up for their email newsletter for updates.

  • Camp Lost Boys | Summer camp experience created by men of trans experience for men of trans experience.

  • Jamboree | LGBTQ adults (19+) from the Out & Out club rent a summer camp in the Haliburton area (Ontario, Canada).

  • The Naming Project Adults Only Camp | Adults 21+ who want to experience the church camp experience in an LGBTQ-inclusive and affirming setting.

  • Queer Campout New Mexico | Queers of all descriptions who want to go camping in the woods together in New Mexico.

  • Queer Talmud Camp | Gathering of queer folks, radicals, and seekers who come together to immerse themselves in rigorous yeshiva-style learning.

  • Slay Lake City | Any woman, transgender, non-binary, or gender-expansive adult aged 18 and up who wants to learn an instrument, form a band, and collaborate with others in an empowering environment.

  • Trans Camp | Camping trips designed for any trans person 18+ in the Bay Area (California). This space welcomes trans people to connect in nature with each other and themselves.
